Child Mind Institute reviews

I have never written an online review, but I had to share this. I recently experienced a panic attack while en route to a conference with a number of Child Mind Institute colleagues. I was alone in my car, and very frightened. I contacted my co-worker who was traveling to the same meeting, and she and another colleague immediately turned around, backtracked many miles, and came to my rescue. We met up with several other co-workers, who jumped right in to support me and get me through this scary experience. My colleagues showed me so much kindness, caring and respect. I wanted to share this publicly as a way of honoring and thanking them. I have never worked in another place where I would have felt so comfortable leaning on my co-workers for this kind of help.

I sensed from the beginning that this wasn't like any other nonprofit organization where I had worked before. There's a strong sense of mission and ownership of the work by almost every professional -- which creates a fun, engaging atmosphere and culture. The pace is fast and there are clear expectations for performance, but overall the culture is very fair. It tends to attract top talent in, and outside of, the nonprofit industry. It's a fantastic place to learn, grow, and work with a sense of passion toward a great mission -- which is helping treat, research, and educate about children's mental health and learning disorders. Highly recommended.
