Pros

Great ambitious co-workers and fun environment Management was very helpful and understanding. Excellent implementation of high standards and safety. Always opportunity for promotion if you work hard. Great fast pace and a great way to learn a lot of essential knife, food safety, prep and cooking skills that can really help in future job searches and life in general.

Cons

Corporate is unreasonable. Too much work in too little time such as highly unbalanced workload in prep (3 or 4 hrs. worth of prep to complete in 2 hrs. per person). Very tough on management at all levels. Prep was rarely ever complete by 10:30 and if morning prep wasn't complete, managers couldn't go on break .Scheduling was a mess, employees scheduled to come in an hour before being allowed to clock in.

Pros

Chipotle is all about quality. Working there, you will learn about the quality of the food, the quality of the food safety practices, and the value this company places on people who VALUE quality across the board... but I have never been with a company who is so passionate and aggressive about identifying people who have a passion for self improvement. Not only that, they value raising up leaders. If you are looking to Chipotle as a first job, you will be challenged. But you will learn skills and disciplines that will be invaluable to you through every endeavor you pursue moving forward. If you are looking for a leadership role, Chipotle cultivates a strong promotion culture, and is unparalleled in refining and preparing future leaders to rise up and take control of their futures.

Cons

It is NOT EASY. The expectations for every Chipotle employee are high, higher than some people are used to. If you are looking for an easy paycheck where you can just show up and do the bare minimum, then you will probably be disappointed with Chipotle. If you want to work here, be prepared to work hard. Be prepared to be humbled. Be prepared to become flexible. And be prepared to be challenged to be better. You decide if that's a Con or a Pro.
