Pros

-Competitive benefits -PTO -Resources & Tools to facilitate work environment -Really quick to move up within company

Cons

-Whether you like it or not, this is a 24 hour role. Expect to work long hours pass the 50 hours, calls on your days off by managers below and above, and pressured to work if managers call out. -Company is ever changing for customers and with more change comes more work added to your plate. -Company expects unrealistic time expectations to implement changes within store -They will give you a bad store and expect it to be fixed within a snap of a finger without giving proper team/resources to facilitate changes -Move up people not readily skilled for role causing others to pick up slack

Pros

There are no pros: they exploited free labor, destroyed documentation to cover their tracks, and avoided accountability at ALL levels of the company.

Cons

Never Paid: I was hired to support Chipotle's brand new 2809 N Ashland Ave location. I worked there for about a month part-time yet I was NEVER paid! Lack of Communication: The management team consisted of a general manager and an apprentice manager. After the store opened, the managers started writing people off the schedule, never clearing terminating employees, and then NEVER PAYING THEM. No Accountability: I never again heard from managers despite frequent attempts to communicate with them over the phone, email, and even in-person. They simply ignored me and acted like I did not exist as we breathed the same air. Corporate Failure: Attempting to get in touch with Chipotle's HQ was fruitless. Apparently the managers destroyed all records of me, and other employees', existence at the N Ashland Ave store so they could not pay us. How convenient! Dangerous Work Environment: Management pushed us to ignore Chipotle guidelines and perform work tasks in a dangerous manner. Due to their negligence and persistence, I witnessed coworkers go through extreme grease burns and knife wounds. In both instances, management instantly fired them and escorted the wounded off the premises to avoid accountability. When asked why they said, "We can't afford workman's comp." Stay AWAY from this company if you are looking for an environment that pays its workers and abides by the basic federal guidelines.

Be Prepared

Pros

Online university courses are available at a discount after 4 months of employment. Coworkers are kind. 1 employee meal is granted to you each shift (limitations apply depending on location).

Cons

Training was promised, but not delivered. Be prepared to work hard and fast, prep workers have a time line/schedule they must follow and execute. Unfinished prep falls on the closing crew, who also carry their own closing responsibilities. Teamwork baby. You are under contract if you pursue education through chipotle, and must stay an additional 6 months after your courses have been completed to avoid paying back what they contributed.
