Pros

You won't ever get board at ChromoLogic. There is always a new project to work on that will introduce you to new fields, technologies, and people. You can really take ownership of projects since the company organization is very flat. Anything you want to do you can do here if you can find the funding for it. At CL you'll get a lot better at writing and communicating with both scientists and business people. I don't think that I'm going to start my own company any time soon, but I feel like I'm being trained for it. Overall the people are nice, the boss is pretty reasonable, and I like coming to work.

Cons

If you don't like writing, this isn't the job for you. Between proposals, reports, and papers I think it's probably about 20-30% of your time. Some of the projects aren't very promising and sometimes don't even seem to be that useful even if they did work. CL doesn't have the greatest record of taking projects all the way to sales. This can make some endeavors feel pointless.
