Pros

Every now and then you'll have a child of family come in that puts a smile on your face, and moving up in your store is not that hard.

Cons

The turn over rate is horrible, Iv'e been there two yeas and I can't even begin to count how many people have quit or been fired. People call out on a regular basis and so management rely on the few competent people who have been there awhile to pick up there slack. If you make the slightest mistake or any one in management gets gets angry with you, they do things like schedule you for 1 day. Not to worry though because they will just guilt trip you into taking someones shift who called out. Oh and if you open, you run the risk of the opening manager coming late. This has also happen to me more times than I can count; the longest time being an hour and 20 minutes late. And you can't leave, you have to wait for them to come. But vice versa, if you're 5 minutes late just once, due to the bus, you get yelled at. Oh and the Chuck E suit is only as clean as your coworkers are, that being said, it's gross. Don't expect to take a break either. If your over 18 they won't give you a break, and if you ask for one it's an all out war to where you have to bring up labor laws to get it.

Pros

The employees are great, that is the real saving grace to working here. A lot of cool kids coming through that could use advise from someone a bit older. Free food was a nice perk, along with vacation and sick days.

Cons

No consideration for your life outside of work and unrealistic standards. Hours are all over the place (leave at 1am, be back at 7am) and with a small management team, don't even think about calling out sick. Standards are very high, they don't give you the manpower to make the store to their standard. It was always a battle of prioritizing what could get done and get reprimanded for what couldn't. Also held what couldn't against me as a reason to deny a raise (one of the major reasons for ending employment) after a year and a half did not even offer a raise.

Pros

The pros to this job were making kids smile and every so often, finding those parents who "get it". You'd be surprised how rude a vast majority of parents can be to a teenage cashier. Coworkers and certain managers made the job bearable for me. I learned how to handle money, basic cashier knowledge and customer service that still helps me today. If you really (and I mean really) like kids, dancing and singing to mildly cringe worthy kids songs, HIGH energy work environments and have a lot of patience you will do great here.

Cons

The noise, constant noise that I can only describe as songs on a loop combined with the BING BING BING BING BONG of games along with kids screaming, running, crying, etc. Witnessing parents yell at their children (and at me) over plastic prizes worth 5 points. Being the mouse when the last thing you want to do is be dancing in a hot sweaty costume on a busy saturday afternoon at sometimes hourly intervals. Never sitting. Leading roadshows to a group of kids who want no part in the song, and just stand and stare at you until the tickets are thrown. Managers acting like the world will end if a pizza was made wrong or three tokens lost, and taking it out on everybody.
