Business Outlook
Pros
Salary was decent. Good profit sharing and matching retirement plan. Flexible work hours. Ottawa offices were clean and well laid out.
Cons
Training was non-existent. Wasted a lot of time trying to get access to Ciena equipment then wasted even more time trying to figure out how to set it up so that you can test your software changes. My manager was totally unsupportive and more concerned about making himself look good rather than providing the tools or training that would make the people he managed successful. Very little was done in the way of team building.
