Work in R&D is interesting. A great opportunity to learn new concepts.

Cons

Management should do a much better job in planning projects. Prepare product development timelines based on available resources. Increase the salary cap to hire new talent and to retain existing ones. Improve cohesiveness within the team. Managers should have a serious talk with engineers who are self-centered and not collaborative. Lack of mentorship for up and coming engineers from senior engineers/architects.
