Not a bad place but there is space for improvement
Pros
Good work balance, flexible hours. New building with an ample cafeteria, good coffee machines in the kitchens. Computer equipment is modern, facilities good in general.
Cons
Do not offer equal job opportunities for everyone, advancement is slow. Managers and team leaders choose their favorite people, who get promoted and the best and challenging work the team has to offer, while the rest had to be content with the least interesting work. Old employees form impenetrable cliques, and sometimes treat newcomers with arrogance and contempt. Still lots of people from the Nortel times, reflected in an outdated management style, run the show. No much space for creativity: it is expected that you follow the existing wisdom. Team leaders work to keep and grow their power. Different points of view are not encouraged. From technological point of view, not the best place to learn, unless you are a co-op and everything looks new to you.
