Pros

-Very Flexible Hours. While I was at high school, I could only work weekends and they worked it out with me. Also I do theatre so when I do shows and have rehersals, we're able to come with a collaboration. They let me schedule off if something is going on whether it's a school event or a personal event (We just have to let them know in advance) -Most departments are easy to learn and get the hang of. -Fun People. If you play your cards right, you can get good people to work with and it'll make your shift that much better and I'm friends with pretty much everyone else who works there. -Half off on concessions while on shift. We have a little resturant in the theater that cells pizza and burgers so we can get those for half off (They're not GREAT but good for the price). -Free Movie Tickets! But to be honest; If I'm off, I wouldn't want to go back to the theater. -Sometimes I have really cool customers who make my day. -When it's not busy and we don't have much to do, it's a little boring but its better than being super busy. -Most managers are there for you if you have questions

Cons

-We get rude customers who beleive the world revolves around them every day. We're required to upsell/suggestive sell and they get really ticked off. They also get mad at us for things that are not our faults like them not liking the movie, failing to sneak into a rated R film, and technical difficulties. -We don't get the best movies (Which can also be a pro because people wont come as much). -When it gets busy and people flood in, they tend to leave their trash everywhere. -We occasionally are understaffed so I find myself having to watch concessions as well as checking when I have to clean a theater. -We close very late and on a very busy night, I find myself leaving at 1:30 AM, a whole hour after I'm supposed to leave (At least we get paid) -I don't know if I should put this here or not but things get so repetitive that I find myself dreaming that I'm at work. -They make us shove Cinemark Connections down everyone's throats (It's a good app but still). -We only get half off concessions while on shift. It would be nice to get it any day. -Friends will ask you to get free movie tickets or ask you to sneak them in.

Pros

Fellow staff members were very friendly and accepting to new employees.

Cons

Almost no training. My first day I waiting by concessions for half an hour waiting for one of the managers to get me for training. Finally another employee noticed and brought me in and showed me around. Still no one showed up so everyone just had me stand by and watch. When a manager finally did show up they came over and yelled at me for just standing around. Complete disregard for what I told them my schedule conflicts were during my interview. I told them because I was in school and did a lot with school that school was my first priority and I could only work 12 hours a week at most and was told it was fine I'd only be scheduled one day a week. My second week I was scheduled over 24 hours and I could not do it so I called about it and was fired.

Pros

Nice people to work with. The perks are pretty great if you are a manager and it's a nice place to start as a manager.

Cons

General management is awful. He doesn't care whether or not you fail. As long as he is safe he's fine with it. He also doesn't care about employees unless they complain
