      Cintas: Stepping-stone to your Career

      Pros

      Good Sales Training Program. Well recognized sales training program by other employers. Good stepping-stone to another job.

      Cons

      Micro-managment to the death. Your manager will want to know everything about what you are doing because they don't trust you. Compensation for commissions and expenses arrived late on several occasions. Heard stories from other sales reps that managers would sandbag accounts from installing in order to benefit their pay and hurt their reps quarterly bonus. Worst part of the week is phone blocking. Phone blocking is where you sit in a cubicle for 4 hours and try to contact 100 people to set as many appointments as possible. Get used to rejection.

      Pros

      Cintas is a company that provides excellent training for new and tenured sales representatives. The people hired by the Cintas sales organization are generally very high energy and eager to learn and absorb information. Cintas is very good at providing continuous training to ensure best practice is achieved.

      Cons

      There are too many changes that occur with very little heads-up or explanations. Company and managers may at times set out false expectations in terms of career advancement. This is with relations to territory management and assignment. There are many gray areas between Uniforms and Facility Services divisions, which can cause repeated uncomfortable situations.
