Company Motto is "We have a Spartan Approach". That deciphers to stingy at times. Sometimes things don't get repaired or replaced until it is broken and sometimes even dangerous. Often it seems that company meetings, sales meetings and safety meetings are all you do. It would be nice to get some work in between meetings, but that can be hard.
National policies NEVER update. Even when common sense would dictate, some old rules and regulations are not updated. Even in very hot climates employees are not allowed to wear shorts becuase our some of our customers employees didn't used to have that option. We could actually make the shorts to Cintas specs since ALL employee apparel must be provided by Cintas to be in compliance. The same happens in the cold, and rain. You can be written up for wearing a raincoat, but CINTAS will not provide one for you.
Salespeople are also driven hard and often oversell just to get the numbers up, then the Service Rep has to take the brunt of angry customers when they realize they are getting service more freqeuntly or excessively than they really need.
