Pros

I've been working at Cinteot for almost 4 years now in various different roles and capacities. I’ve seen the company grow from almost the beginning, going through growths and overcoming challenges to become what it is now. Overall, even in the early days I've been consistently impressed. Positive points: - Great culture and atmosphere: Barring pandemics, natural disasters etc. they strive to have a company picnic, baseball game and Christmas dinner each year which is always enjoyable to go to especially for families. Much of the work I do is out of the office but when I’ve visited, the atmosphere has been relaxed but professional. - Fantastic management and ownership: The company is family based, and really try to hold to their values in the way they treat employees. The majority (if not all) of the ownership/management has had hands on experience at different levels working in IT and cyber security which makes it easier to express concerns and working details to them (I’ve often appreciated they way they’ve had my back at times and their mantra of “we don’t work with jerks!”) - Good salary and benefits: The ownership is very fair when it comes to this, they aim to treat their people well and make sure they're happy, in my experience they’ve been honest and upfront. - Room to grow: I joined Cinteot when I was still very new to the field, despite this they really gave me a lot of room to shine in my own way; if you have initiative they'll often allow you to pursue leadership roles and passion projects within the scope of your position. I think the best litmus test for a company is the way they treat employees even when they decide to move on to different opportunities; in Cinteot's case they often want what's best for folks, even if the company doesn’t benefit, and continue to treat them like family often welcoming them back to visit or to events.

Cons

I don’t have any complaints. Most of the negatives I can think of are common to all companies and are not really within their direct control: sometimes things get stressful, times get tough or management’s hands get tied by customer requests/demands or contract details. Cinteot tries to do their best to handle things gracefully; shielding employees and attempting to tame any rumors. Onboarding can sometimes be bit of a whirlwind but that's also the nature of the industry too.

Pros

I have been provided with a lot of upward opportunity, supported fully by the management, and never doubted working with the people here.

Cons

You are mainly working as a contractor for the government, so you usually have to write two different sets of reports for everything but that can't really be avoided
