Pros

Great place for new grad to start a career. Free drinks, easy going environment.

Cons

Very little room for advancement. Just get your experience and get out. Too much over time, it's not worth it.

Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. We think Citco is a great place to start a career too. It’s also a great place to grow your career as evidenced by the many, many staff who have long tenure with the firm and have been promoted several times over the years. A very high percentage of our senior manager and MD roles are filled with employees who started in staff or entry level manager roles and through hard work, and yes much overtime, have grown their leadership skills to manage departments and offices today. In regards to turnover, there are pockets in the company where turnover is higher than we would prefer, which is why we’ve created a Retention function that is developing a program and training to address this issue.

Pros

With the high turnover chances of promotion have slightly increased.

Cons

External hiring for mgmt positions Poor promotion strategy Stuck doing overtime while manager leaves. Jobs and knowledge moved to far east No communication from mgmt to staff Hire freezes globally and local mgmt not informed Person doing appraisal has no input over wages bonus or promotion, now a box ticking exercise. New employees forced to do Claritas and repay exam fee if they leave within 2 years When someone leaves full investigation into the reasons, not just arbitrary questions from hr.

Thank you for providing a review on Citco. We are always interested to learn how we can enhance the employee experience at Citco. We want our colleagues to achieve their career ambitions and be the best they can be and Citco invests heavily in training, learning and development at all levels to help to achieve this. Where possible we promote from within but sometimes, to grow the knowledge base of our teams, it is necessary to seek external expertise. We see this as beneficial to the team as a whole. I hope that in time you also get to realise your ambitions in our dynamic business.

Thank you for your comments. Our Reward team has been addressing our Pay for Performance processes over the last couple of years with a focus on ensuring that our top talent and high performing employees at all levels receive merit increases and bonuses commensurate with their contribution. We also take into account that junior staff (non-exempts) are eligible for overtime pay (in the U.S) and this is taken into consideration when making total compensation decisions
