Pros

Banking hours that’s if you not in a in-store location, banking holidays and PTO time

Cons

The micro-managing at this company is out of control. They say at branch manager meetings that this is not there way. It’s nothing but that. They blame all the turnover on the branch managers when they really should be looking at the regionals and above. My regional would get upset if you didn’t greet her right when she walked in the door, or didn’t join a conference call because you were helping a customer or an employee. Forced to send in nightly reporting for the same numbers that come out the next morning...how is that effective?? Call nights are mandatory and if your not hitting your number of appointments your expected to add more call nights. How are you supposed to have work/life balance when you have to tell your employees that you can’t pick up your kids from school or go to their soccer games because we are not hitting our appointments for the week. And yes they give you call lists to call from to set these appointments but they give you the same call list over and over that the customers ask you to stop calling them. I felt bad for my employees when we would get these lists because it would be so frustrating for them to see the same people over and over. At my experience there nothing was ever good enough. Management was always looking for more. No colleagues recognition except for the one week a year that is “dedicated” to the employees.

Pros

-This place will make you appreciate the NEXT job you get! -18 PTO days for new employees. [Work here, and you'll want to use all of them in your first month (you cant though, you accrue them through the year)]! -Health benefits. -They only match up to 4% of your 401k contibutions, AFTER you have 12 months of employment.

Cons

***For the 2nd time in 2 weeks, Customers did not get their direct deposits and could not access any online banking resources due to a "computer glitch." When Customers dont have access to their money, what kind of business are you running? The front line employees (myself) are the ones who have to take the beating! Horrible organization to work for and/or do business with.*** -In addition, upper management and the recruiting department make a lot of false promises. If you accept a job here and are looking to move up rather quickly, forget it! You have to be in each position a minimum of 1 year before you can progress. -Managers are not required to work weekends, so if you are not a manager plan to work 3 to 4 weekends every month. -The computer systems are outdated compared to all the other banks. A DOS system is still used for MANY transactions! The incentives are crappy! -They expect you to make 50 to 100 phone calls a day to bring in existing customers meanwhile they make you encourage those same customers to bank from their phones and at atms. -Highly political. It's all about who you know and not your qualifications.
