Pros

I’ve had a really great experience working at CityVet Mid Cities. The team is supportive, friendly, and truly cares about both the pets and their owners. It’s a positive environment where everyone works together and helps each other out, which makes even the busy days enjoyable. Management is approachable and encourages growth, and it’s clear that they value their employees. It’s a great place to learn, build skills, and be part of a team that genuinely loves what they do. Overall, I would definitely recommend CityVet Mid Cities to anyone looking for a rewarding and supportive workplace.

Cons

Like any veterinary clinic, it can get pretty busy and fast-paced at times, especially during peak hours, which can be a little overwhelming on hectic days. There can also be some long shifts, but the team does a good job of supporting each other through it. Overall, the positives definitely outweigh these small challenges.

Pros

I love CityVet's core values as a company. They want all employees to be seen and heard. One of my biggest reasons for taking the job with CityVet is that there is plenty of room to grow with the company and they are big on promoting from within.

Cons

I would say just from personal experience that the pay could be better especially in the economy we are in but with there being room to grow with the company there is endless opportunity for growth in pay as well.

Pros

Career movement, work culture, purpose, and values. I've honestly never worked somewhere so uplifting, warm and positive before. You can tell you're surrounded by others who love their job and love animals. It's evident in the medicine that's practiced and the teams we cultivate. Truly couldn't ask for more.

Cons

In general, this career path has a lower rate than what people would think, but CityVet is definitely competitive in salary, and it's trending on the higher end of what's normal. The only other con I can think of is what is typical for this field, and it's the emotional toll. It can be hard to watch people say goodbye to their beloved fur babies while going into the next room and getting excited with a new pet parent about their adorable new companion.
