Great place for growth

Pros

You can start entry level and work up. The location I’m at pays well and has a great work culture.

Cons

No paid holidays, no sick days, no bereavement. You end up using your PTO to cover holidays since we are closed because if you don’t it’s a big blow to your check, or to take time off if you’re sick. I will say though, the longer you are with the company the more you end up accruing

Their ability to build a community with their practice managers is strong and well thought out.

Cons

Your community largely depends on the location you’re working in. For example, DFW vs San Antonio Vs other. It seemed like you received better treatment at other facilities near the home office and your work experience largely depends on the DVM you work under.

Pros

Family like bond to majority of the staff. I made amazing friendships here that I will always keep. Discounts on medications and food for my animals. Being able to bring my dog with me when I needed to. Flexible hours and amazing doctors who actually care about the clients/patients (not just for money). easy to work with systems (ezyvet)

Cons

Management needs to listen to the staff and help make changes to make the techs/receptionist feel wanted there and appreciated. More training for the staff and better communication is needed. Staff struggled with things and we never felt we had the support or open door we needed from management
