Bait and switch

Pros

Money, and the some of the other trade managers are nice. Cool projects as well.

Cons

This company is a total bait and switch. Get the experience, your money, and get out asap. Was told to come in at 5:45am and that no one expects to leave before 5:30pm. This was expected daily, with zero transparency beforehand. Overnight work often completed by project managers or trade managers, and expected to be on site the same day or next day. Upper management condescending and rude. If you've had any other construction experience and know how you SHOULD be treated, dont come here. All autonomy and self worth is expected to be thrown away. Will overload you with scopes that their PM's cannot handle, with no team, and berate you if you're too slow to manage it all. I could go on and on. Ill save it at this.

Pros

Cool big name projects. Large portfolio full of places that you have probably been too before.

Cons

Odd Kiss up culture. People are asking to sleep at work essentially because they know that is the only way to promote. Work here to have a big name on your resume and then realize your worth.

Pros

The pay is good straight out of college, although not for the hours worked Resume builder Immediate exposure to responsibility over multi-million dollar subcontracts

Cons

They are happy to work you to the bone--this includes 7 day, 80+ hr weeks with some employees working 70+ days consecutive The execs failures to plan becomes your issue to correct at the entry level It is a chaotic, poorly organized, poorly planned environment Treatment of employees is often openly biased and unprofessional Professional boundaries are often crossed
