Pros

Loved people I worked with, got to build a great team

Cons

Everything is about MONEY, no genuine concern for the staff or the clients, gravely underpaid...after many years of faithful service with noted success, got pushed out by new management to make way and clear salary for top management to bring in a friend

Pros

If you are homeless or about to be or just struggling in general, they will hire you. I would strongly suggest for you to continue your job search. They give benefits after 3 months and an average of 30 hours a week worked, but trust me they are not the best. They pay time and a half for 4 holidays a year, despite their admin take off 9 holidays a year. Their insurance is advertised as "lowest cost to employee" it is actually lowest cost to employer, meaning the worst insurance they can get away with and highest cost to employee.

Cons

Do you like looking like a domestic violence victim? Would you like to be broke all the time? Do you like to see humans with developmental disabilities be abused and nothing be done about it? Would you like to say something about the abuse and for it to be covered up and hushed by management? Are you self righteous and want to work for a company you can threat to sue (whether for improper labor practices or sexual harassment)? If you say yes to any of the above questions then be my guest and apply for Renew Consulting. Honestly they will hire you, any of you not matter what, considering you can pass a normal background check, because they need people, really bad. In fact most of their programs are under staffed. They will only pay you $10 an hour and after a year of hard work will pay you $10.25 despite normal cost of living. That is unless you want to work in a rural area where they have an EXTREMELY hard time finding staff (because most of the population have already worked for them) then they will pay you $10.50 starting off. And their programs managers only make $2200 before taxes every month. The company is FOR PROFIT, meaning they (the CEO/owner) keeps most of the money given to them from the state for their own pocket and their clients living in poverty. Sometimes without proper staffing, food or clothing to meet the budget. They pride themselves on accepting high behavioral clients, that most companies do not accept. But pay their staff minimal, meaning they get the paid a lot from the state but spend little on staff. Staff are injured often, usually with scratches and bruises. And usually the staff are blamed by the company, instead of the company investing on precautionary/safety measures. Sometimes housemates will abuse each other and the company refuses to acknowledge it. Medications are ofter missed or abused and the company covers it up. Good hearted people work for the company try to make good changes and the company hushes. The people who attack and threat to sue the company get promoted or a raise. I have also been forced to work for over 24 hours, not because I chose to but because staff have just not shown up and I was threatened with "abandonment" if I where to leave or sleep and management refuse to show up because it wasn't within their working hours. On a serious note the company acts if you are lucky they are paying you and make all employees feel guilty as if they can't afford staffing. This is a really messed up place to work at. And I have read all the previous reviews not one is disgruntle or lying, this company is that bad. Honestly this company is small, maybe 300 employees, and the reviews should prove its worth.

Pros

You get a paycheck. It also used to be that the longer you work for this company the better your schedule would be based on seniority. Well that's not the case anymore as management gives better schedules to relatives, and people they like.

Cons

Almost everytbing. Management while present Monday through Friday is completely none existant. Especially if you are working in Salem. The managers are hired not based on experience in this region but on friendship. They will make you work over 24 hours because they do not wish to come in. Say it's 8 am and you just worked a 10 hour graveyard shift and someone doesn't show up for their 16 hour weekend shift. So you call your Manger and there response to you is 'find someone to cover'. They refuse to do their jobs even though they are suppose to be on call weekends, even though finding coverage for a shift that is not yours is not your responsibility. They also hire family members and have them work under them. These people magically, no matter how bad they are at their job, move up with 3-6 months. You can work very hard here, get multiple awards for being an excellent csp, help management with their job on a daily basis, train their employees and still be told that your not ready to move up, even though you have 2 years previous expience as a manager. They will talk down to you and anytime something needs to be fixed you will get the response 'there is nothing I can do about it.' They are a poor excuse for a company.
