Absolute Garbage Company

Pros

Unlimited PTO* Although, you get punished if you actually use it

Cons

Experienced ( and unexperienced) seller BEWARE. My time at classpass was beyond miserable. First and foremost, the leadership team has absolutely no idea what they are doing. The amount of micromanagment is completely unnecessary. Prepare to have a 1:1 every day, every call recorded and picked apart, daily role plays with your manager, and managers listening in on live calls with out your knowledge. They will also lie and tell you this is an in field role ( it's not for at least 5 months). You will be making 60 plus calls a day to businesses who have been harassed for years and consistently refused to work with classpass. There is no room for growth or success at this company. No commission received if you do not hit your full quota.

Pros

You can work out for free, on a flexible basis

Cons

- zero growth - poor management - the scrappiness of a start up allows little room for you to say anything but just do as told. - the pay and commission structure is a bit ridiculous. - the sales team is more of call center than a strategic base for the company.

Bit Of A Hot Mess

Pros

- Overall the office is great. Good snacks, drinks, and location. - Great people. Despite it's flaws, ClassPass hires smart, interesting people who are generous with their time and just fun to be around. - Theoretically there are opportunities for growth and many people do well here. - Solid perks like flexible work from home (depending on position), free membership, and occasional office outings.

Cons

- No 401k match - Rampant disorganization and poor communication across teams. - A culture of forced/fake positivity that can feel cult-like at times. - High turnover and low morale. - Tenured employees regularly leaving and having their responsibilities given to people who are under-qualified and spread too thin. - Ridiculous levels of micromanagement is the norm on certain teams. - Growth internally can be somewhat random and poorly organized, so it's not something you can rely on. - They require each member to chat with a customer service agent before canceling their membership. A tactic that is unabashedly tacky and desperate. This contributes to a contentious relationship with their own customers.
