Students at Classical are relatively well behaved and *most* colleagues are respectful, supportive, and positive.

Cons

The school day is from 7:45-4:30 (almost 9 hours) and this location does not have an outdoor recess area. Prep time seems reasonable until you learn about the additional responsibilities (curricular auditing, creating weekly packets, daily meetings, additional meetings, constant & excessive data analysis, etc). This leaves teachers forced to use additional time in the day to prepare lessons, contact families, and much more. Additionally… Micromanaging Lack of respect Unattainable expectations

Pros

It is great for beginning teachers who would like experience while getting coaching. It has opportunities to work within the school and cross-collaborate. Students are extremely creative, and enthusiastic, and test boundaries but once they get to know you they are excited to learn with you.

Cons

It is very hard to get the curriculum updated because it is a scripted curriculum. It is a busy schedule where you may not see students as frequently as you would like. Students' class sizes vary due to testing, therefore you may have students start randomly in the year or you never see them at all.

School directors are condescending, Instructional Supervisors are unprepared and act like mean girls, Middleman Management does not know how to manage people, no sick days, some of the schools have terrible facilities, toxic work environment.
