I have worked for Classical Charter Schools for the last 6 years and am so thankful for all that I have learned as an educator and a leader. The organization focuses on learning and growing. It is exciting to work in a place where I am both able to grow as an individual and am able to contribute to the network's growth and improvement. It has also been fulfilling to work in an organization that is making a true impact on the community. Every day I am able to see our scholars learn and grow. What they are able to achieve is truly inspiring!

Cons

The work requires a big investment of time and energy -- but the results make it worth the effort!

The organization has high expectations for all staff and scholars, a culture of professionalism, and a strong track record in scholar results. There is a fully aligned and thoughtfully developed curriculum, an excellent professional development cycle that ensures all staff are successful in their current roles and ready for the next step in their careers, and an emphasis on teachers and their mission critical work. This is evidenced through a multi-faceted support system comprised of deans who support with behavior management, coaches who support with teaching and planning, and operations staff members who support with breakfast, lunch, dismissal, copies, and technology. A group of hardworking, high performing, high potential scholars rounds out the work environment and provides a clear purpose for every day.

Cons

The work that we do is hard and the bar is high; it is not a fit for everyone, but for those who seek what Classical has to offer in terms of structure and performance, there's no better place to grow a career in education.
