One of the few positives is the opportunity to collaborate with many talented and hardworking individuals.

Cons

Increasingly toxic workplace dynamics and poor leadership. The VPs operate in a disconnected bubble, unaware of the day-to-day realities their teams face. The management approach prioritizes relentless productivity over employee well-being, treating staff more like machines than people, A five-day, in-office workweek is mandatory and strictly enforced. Working beyond regular hours is expected. Despite promoting a culture of collaboration, socializing during work hours is frowned upon, making for an isolating and uninspiring work environment. For those with families or any personal obligations, the lack of work-life balance is incredibly draining. If you’re not willing to commit to 60+ hours a week and sacrifice PTO or sick days, advancement opportunities are slim. While they claim to support diversity, there are very few women in leadership roles making AEC-related decisions; growth opportunities are severely limited.

To ensure the success of the business we hold our employees to high standards to exceed the needs of our clients. To perform the construction work that we do, it does require us to be onsite. Clayco has always been extremely flexible to allow everyone to meet their necessary family obligations.
