Run Away.........

Pros

Not really sure..... Can't think of any major Pros... Well, you might meet some good people. However; that depends on the department you work in....

Cons

Upper Management has no clue of what is going on, it's all about whom you know and what you know, no real employee evaluation process, no training, salary increases are insulting if any, no appreciation or recognition of efforts by upper management... in addition to the fact that upper management always complains about low profit and the need to cut expenses... moral of the story: Run away.....

Acquisitions are hard

Pros

Middle management was mostly great. Laid back work environment most of the time.

Cons

Clean Harbors managing from a distance is terrible. The systems have taken a step back in time and nothing "talks" to each other any more. When you have a micro-manager for a CEO (i.e. has to approve every hiring decision from the top down to customer service reps) your business can only get as big as that one person can conceive...

Pros

Lots of work to keep you busy. Can have the actual tools you need at least in some areas to get the job done. Boss was flexible if you needed to run errands or work from home occasionally.

Cons

Management at higher levels up the Executive to the President were so out of of touch with what an employee needs are and the overall benefits were the worst I had seen in the industry and compared them to about 10 different companies of the same or similar size. HR is just too big and out of touch and clueless when dealing with management issues or anything else. No pay increase and consistent pay or hiring freezes just out of the blue even right after they spend to acquire another company? Makes no sense at all, no training, no social life, outings or even a decent XMAS Party..not a good place if you want to grow , so keep it moving if it pops up in your job alerts!
