Pros

Office culture is fantastic. Management does everything they can to make work fun. So much skill building! I've learned so much about communication skills and personal interactions while working here. My resume thanks me!

Cons

Very difficult work. Strenuous, tiring, and inconsistent. For five hours a day you are expected to walk around a town with a clipboard in hand talking to strangers - all while presenting a large smile. It's stressful work and it's not for everyone.

Pros

The work atmosphere is the best park about working for Clean Water Action. The people that work here enjoy their job! Yeah, everyone that works here cares about the environment, but its more than that. For example a year ago I was sick for a week with pneumonia and the crew bought a get well cake for me, had everyone sign a card for me, and I got texts from everyone in the office wishing me well. A lot of my best friends I have I made while working for Clean Water Action. The campaigns they work on are fun and engaging, and the staff do a very good job of educating people on the issues. As a canvasser, manager and Assistant Canvass Director the skills I learned here I will carry with me me my whole life.

Cons

Canvassing on oil and gas development in Colorado can be a challenge. The issue is very polarized and its not uncommon to have oil and gas employees become very agitated. Be ready for a fight!

Pros

Clean Water Action boasts dedicated staff and a pleasant culture. They put a lot of energy into training and developing staff.

Cons

You may have to move cities to advance within the organization, but with cities all over the country that might not be such a bad thing.
