Cliffs offers, not only, great pay and benefits, but has a plethora of opportunity, for an engineer, to gain heavy industrial experience. The mill contains all different types of process units, mills, and furnaces that require upgrades, maintenance, and control expertise. Part of the job is becoming the subject matter expert on these units, caring for them, and enhancing the. The experience gained here is extremely valuable not just at Cliffs, but in any manufacturing industry.
Cons
The plant is a 24/7 operation and call outs do happen. This is not all of the time, but I would be lying if I said it doesn't happen.
