There seems to be a real disconnect between the company's purported values and the reality of everyday operations. Although Cleveland Clinic values include integrity and innovation, I've seen evidence of neither during 4 years here. In fact, management doesn't value telling the truth, stifles creativity and creates an atmosphere of fear and anxiety. Their style is archaic at its best and abusive at its worst.

Difficult managers who manage through the use of discipline and fear of losing your job. Write ups & Corrective Actions are given out unfairly with very little, or no thought of the consequences that any easily averted action causes the average worker. For one, it does eliminate any possibility for a raise, no chance of moving to another department for at least a year. If you happen to be taking college courses, tuition reimbursement is taken away for a year. This place can and will be a great place to work once again, but the mindset of discipline needs to be looked at seriously. I am only speaking about the Facilities Dept. I suppose a regime change is what it will take to turn this ship around.
