Pros

Good to work with fellow students as a graduate assistant. Some assistantships are undeserved, which is painful to watch. Tuition reimbursement is fantastic, bi-weekly stipend is small but helps (you'll still need to take out student loans). The best pro is that it provides some work experience and income while allowing you to do well in grad school. The balance couldn't be better, especially if you work for someone who allows you to make your own schedule.

Cons

Some students at CSU (Urban College) really shouldn't be there, particularly at the post-graduate level. They may use the excuse of a learning disability but at some point higher education may not be for you. It is recommended that you have an above average intelligence level, but this just does not happen there. There are some well-deserved students. Team up with them and your experience will be just fine.

Pros

This job is much more flexible than the one working in the computer lab. My supervisor is awesome, no schedule time. I just need to finished the 20 hrs.

Cons

Not a lot of challenges. Basically data entry.
