      Pros

      Cloudera is an exceptional group of people pursuing a once in a decade opportunity. The average caliber of the employees is extremely high. Everyone's very nice and there's minimal politics. The technology is sophisticated, interesting and evolving quickly.

      Cons

      Cloudera serves some of the world's largest and most demanding corporate customers. Employees have a great "whatever it takes" attitude but over time this can mean a frenetic pace.

      Pros

      The technical leaders throughout the company are willing and interested in sharing their expertise throughout the company in order to advance the knowledge of the company at large. As with many people who are truly sharp their is never any attitude of protection of my domain. Knowledge sharing is encouraged throughout the company and all technical staff members are encouraged to participate and promote their areas of expertise.

      Cons

      Working remotely limits the ability to interact directly with many of the engineers who are hands on with the Cloudera code base, but this is true of anyone who works remotely for any company.
