Pros
Cloudera is one of the few places in Silicon Valley that gives you the opportunity to contribute not only to the company, but also to the open source community as part of your job. Being a leader in Hadoop, it is not uncommon to find engineers who are active in the open source community. Compensation is excellent, all the usual benefits of being a tech firm in Silicon Valley are present, such as paid lunches, micro-kitchens with snacks, unlimited vacation and the list goes on. People are very friendly, politics is at a minimum. Excellent place to work.
Cons
The company is growing rapidly and is trying to move from a startup mentality to a more establish firm, as such the need for process and procedures has been noticed and is a work in progress.
