      Pros

      a beautiful new building to work in and i have found that some upper management DO thank you personally for anything you do that is outside the box

      Cons

      at the moment the constant threat of redundancy hanging over us but hey it's the same no matter where you work

      Pros

      Generous holiday entitlement, Good staff, 10% employee discount in all food stores, Always pay wages on time and correctly, Food stores are good for shoppers with good quality products available, Food stores are also improving pricing (Lowering prices on everyday items) which is reassuring for employers and customers (More customers, more business), Gave me good opportunities for progression (Excellent)

      Cons

      Don't always do things logically (Send excessive amounts of stock to Food stores which stores end up hoarding in warehouse), Sometimes get's stressful when they is a big delivery but too little staff (But other companies MAY be like that, so can't complain too much), promotion changes can be challenging and tight for time when unable to built promotion displays until after 6pm (4pm would be better, customers can still retrieve offers from the shelf), Team leader pay could be better (in comparison with other retailers).

      Not the bad place it is made out to be on the news

      Pros

      Some great staff to work with...almost like a family in some cases. Customers in general are very thankful for your efforts and services. Co-op food is expanding (at least in my store) and we are seeing new faces becoming regulars. Nice contrast from what we hear on the news.

      Cons

      Management expect too much from staff with no extra resources to help them. More flexible hours needed to add to the total of hours per department, ie, short notice overtime. These cons however are based on a large store.
