Pros
The Richmond, VA office is really nice and so is the cafeteria. It is really decent cafe food for the price. If you are willing to work hard and be proactive, you will do well. Plenty of opportunities there to shift to other departments or for promotions especially in IT. If you pass certifications they will reimburse you. Unless you are in Sales or higher up, you have a normal 8 to 5 with no out of office requests. Once in a long while you may be asked to travel to another office for a few days or a week (Telecoms and Service Desk), that is usually optional.
Cons
I may be biased but I am trying to be fair. What they will let people go for is usually kind of weird and if it is not your metrics, it is somewhat dictated by upper management. I can only really speak for IT, but they have very VERY fuzzy metrics, so be smart about things. They do have documentation and are getting better over the years, but be warned there is ALOT of "verbal policy" kind of stuff which I am not a big fan of as it typically lends to gaslighting. If you tend to over-communicate, are smart about security, and explain your reasoning, you should be fine. Also, be aware this company follows the typical politics of big Corporate America. Unrelated side note, they are not big fans of WFH.
