Pros

The people were genuinely the best part of the job. I worked with smart, kind, and collaborative teammates, and there used to be a very strong bench of talent across the organization. Many employees truly cared about doing good work and supporting clients, and there was a sense of camaraderie that came from everyone trying to help each other succeed. Leadership was generally well-intentioned, and the culture valued being respectful and human.

Cons

Over time, change and churn made it difficult to maintain continuity or deliver consistently high-quality client work (change is a constant, so this isn’t something that was unexpected). There wasn’t a clear structure in place for knowledge sharing or documentation, so a lot of institutional knowledge walked out the door as people left. Teams were stretched very thin, often juggling too many accounts or responsibilities at once, which led to burnout and made it hard to be proactive or strategic. As a result, client work sometimes suffered despite everyone’s best efforts.

Growing Agency!

Pros

The opportunity to have an impact is really endless. The company has brought on exciting new clients and is well positioned for the way the industry is changing. It is a remote culture, which personally I love, but may not be for everyone! I love my team!

Cons

It is an agency so that means this isn’t always a 40 hr work week. There are ways to navigate that, but I think it comes with the territory. Most agencies are heavy feedback cultures. Some of the employee base can get really defensive easily here. It can be frustrating.

Pros

Great client brands and great people. Flexible time off. Solid holiday schedule. Decent pay and benefits. You will make some great friends trauma bonding.

Cons

Leadership is a mess. There is turnover left and right. Much of this is driven by toxicity and mean girl politics at the ALT level. There’s a new target every quarter and once it’s you, watch out. The way a particular ALT member speaks so condescendingly to her team, her peers, her superiors is outrageous. But it’s “not wrong”. Everyone works in fear. There is zero autonomy even at director and above levels. Expect to be treated like a child over semantics until you are eventually let go. Leadership continues to point the problem everywhere except the toxic source.
