Pros
Empowerment, Competent people, ample opportunities for playing diverse roles Empowerment - Generally people at all levels are encouraged to make decisions and that help them to grow in confidence and become leaders.
Cons
Complaceny in folks who have been with the organization for long time - unfortunately they are in critical roles. Also few in organization buy collective failure or collective success philosphy. The organizaition tends to bury individuals based on a failure that discourages assocaites to take risks. We have not matured enough to integrate talent that we recruit laterally ande from business schools. Almost every lateral I know went thro' integration and acceptance challenges.
