Pros

- Firm-provided parking - Growing client base - Generous paid time off

Cons

- Although firm pays for parking for employees with cars, it does not compensate employees who choose to take public transportation. - Very few recurring managers and seniors, which leads to a lot a burden and panic come busy season - A lot of pressure to eat hours, yet at the same time to be seen coming in early and staying late at the office. - Hours are comparable to most public accounting firms, expect to work at least 65 hours a week during busy season, which this year lasted from mid-January to nearly June. - Partners have been overheard to make extremely sexist and borderline harrassing comments

Pros

Open door policy. Mostly nice and friendly coworkers. Good range of work experience.

Cons

Partners do not care about mentoring and developing staff. There is no career growth. The reviews that employees receive at the end of the year are not informative. Unprofessionalism runs rampant, gossip and rumors are spread all over the office!

LA office is a disaster

Pros

Pay is decent, lots of opportunities to learn, work hours aren't too bad your first few years. Tax department people are friendly and relatively happy. They treat you like an adult off the bat and don't monitor you're every move which is nice.

Cons

Can't speak for other offices, but the LA office is an absolute disaster as a result of the merger. You are forced into learning two completely different ideologies and have essentially no guidance and no respect. Management tended to be rude and unhelpful and company is ridiculously dependent of Senior Associates contractors who know nothing and receive no blame for messes - currently saw a huge turnover of the best talent after this busy season. Also a very disorganized busy season audit process led to a lot of associates eating hours and sticking around late, with nothing to do, receiving no feedback, just not to be the first person to leave.
