      Pros

      Colas really does take great care of their employees. The benefits are great and, if you apply yourself and are willing to move, there are opportunities all over the world at Colas.

      Cons

      In the US, the pay is a bit lower compared to similar jobs around the country. However, the benefits and work/life balance, as well as company loyalty, balances the scale.

      Pros

      Colas in the UK is a diverse business, trying to move up from its traditional base as a tier 2 contractor. There are many committed and hardworking personnel across the company and throughout the ranks. It's possible to advance your career and they are actively trying to improve benefits.

      Cons

      Lack of communication across the business is inevitable in part due to the diverse locations, but is also encouraged in certain areas. There is a deep-rooted blame culture which is in danger of stifling the creativity of personnel. Strategy also shifts almost by the month.
