Pros

Nice facilities and a killer view of the city high up in a high rise.

Cons

Revolving door on employees. Once you got to know someone, they either quit or got fired. Ironically, absolutely no one likes working here. It's corporate and stuffy. So many other companies are doing this A LOT better and Colliers is ignoring the trends. People want flexibility and the allowance of working from home. This place is horrible to accommodate any of those things. Do yourself a favor and run far away! There are so many great companies in Seattle that are thinking outside the box. This isn't one of those companies!

Horrible management!

Pros

My tenure at Colliers was enjoyable due to having leniency with doctors appointment and such. The staff worked together as a team.

Cons

Pretty much everything! The office is decrepit. The office manager talked about himself every chance he could get. He had no personality and favored certain people. There was never any communication about events going on or any company policy changes. Complained when we ordered staff lunches and asked management to pay for it even though it was a corporate card.

Pros

No one has any idea what they are doing so you can put out the barest minimal effort and still look amazing. If you are terrible at your job you will probably be on track to be a C level in no time. You can definitely fail upwards super easily at this company. Our Global IT lead had multiple data breaches during my time at Colliers and managed to get promoted constantly, even during the pandemic. Also you won't have to do any real work because they have unlimited money to contract it all out to other companies.

Cons

If there is a recession you can expect Colliers to protect their share price more than you. They will furlough you without hesitation. They will stop 401k matching. They will go 2 years without merit increases or market rate adjustment. You will get paid less than you are worth as a developer and corporate will justify it by saying that development doesn't actually generate revenue. They will promise things are going to get better and dangle promotions over your head for months. Don't fall for it. If you leave without taking all your PTO you will not be paid out any of it. Don't bother with a 2 weeks notice just take all your PTO and leave.
