Pros

Usually relaxed environment, flexible schedule, fairly regular work hours

Cons

Raytheon Technologies (UTC management) is cutting the company pay and benefits, I took a 4% pay cut when they removed profit sharing that had no relation to covid 19 as it was months prior Profit sharing is only for principal engineers or higher in the engineering job realm, managers get profit sharing of course while the rest of us doing the actual work get pay cuts Corporate level communication to business divisions is poor No single sign user name and password credentials for all corporate web sites even though we were acquired about 1.5 years ago Management is disconnected and lacks insight and innovation Good luck getting a nice raise if you go the extra mile or many miles, raises are around inflation rates or barely above even if you're a top performer You'll be lucky to get a couple hundred bucks alternate reward for solving a massive problem worth hundreds of thousands or even millions in revenue and working on the weekend(s)

Pros

Pros: - Used to be an amazing company to work for. - Everyone else in the company is getting screwed over too, so plenty of people to commiserate with.

Cons

Rockwell Collins was an amazing company to work for. Interesting work with a management chain that enabled and empowered employees. The UTC acquisition has fixed these benefits. They have employed the Stockholm Syndrome approach to employee retention, screwing over the employees on benefits, pay, work, etc, and then telling them how they fought to give pebbles back to the employees. Everyone worth anything is leaving. They have massive exodus leaving programs understaffed so they are having new, untrained employees on them. Not only does this massively over charge the customers, it also produces poor quality products. Don't even consider joining, you will be underpaid, won't get raises that beat inflation, and will be working with only the employees that weren't good enough to get other jobs or are stuck in there for lack of options to move. Seriously everyone is better than dropping down to the level of working for this place.

Pros

The people are great to work with.

Cons

Since the merger, employees are no longer empowered and benefits keep decreasing for most employees outside of executive leadership.
