Pros

Its a fun environment to work in and a very unique trade to learn. You get to learn how to pretty much run the whole store so great for experience. Pay is good if you're working for a corporate owned store but not too sure about a franchise.

Cons

Upper management (corporate) really does not care about what is going on at a store level as long as consistent money is rolling in. They will allow under qualified people to be in charge of a store's staff and will not consider complaints from the employees. Customers can be especially awful since they don't understand how the process works and ceramic doesn't always comply. You will most likely get great hours due to the (allowed) unprofessionalism in the store with people constantly calling out or taking days off. I found myself constantly over worked at this store and although I was making great money I had no time to spend it. As a store we were always waiting for someone to purchase us for a franchise opportunity which is scary because the way the store runs can completely change and your job is not guaranteed.
