Be careful, it's not what it used to be

Pros

The employee discount. Benefits package is solid. Front line managers and coworkers value and respect one another

Cons

Below market wages. Two years of layoffs with another deep round announced for this year. Blanket Return to Office mandate seems timed to drive people to quit so the next round of layoffs won't appear as big. Company culture is lip service. They literally held an office housewarming party and then the next day announced they would be laying people off here and hiring replacements overseas.

Was a good place until they offshored teams

Pros

Columbia was a great place to work. The local people are great, pay is good, office environments are clean and modern. The attire they produce have great selections for the whole family.

Cons

The company changed once they started offshoring departments, adding to the US unemployment stats. They are becoming another big company that are losing the culture they once had where everyone wanted to work. COVID may have contributed to a shoft in people wanting to WFH. Tariffs hurt every business. Can't blame them 100% for wanting to save costs.

Pros

Work life balance was good. Culture of the old guard was supportive and kind. Money was pretty good.

Cons

Used to be able to work here for a decade, but now it's first in, first out. Don't count on sticking around. Outsourcing is done with no forethought. I hear if you're a white American who gets a job overseas, you get a private driver. I doubt the people native to the region get to enjoy such ammenities.
