Pros
It's a paycheck and there's benefits. Coworkers on shop floor are great. Some office people are nice. Others think rules are for everybody but them.
Cons
During hiring process one is led to believe the company is big on practicing ISO and lean. There is no lean and only a few jobs have standards and work instructions, to which not all know where to find them. This company is 20 years behind the norm. People do what they want, no corrective action. Management is inactive. Directives are not followed. Everybody is waiting on someone else, so nothing gets done. Incompetents are hired in key positions and those who abuse the policies are promoted. No organization, initiative or sense of urgency. It's a dysfunctional workplace that runs clear up the corporate ladder. Sweatshops are more organized than this. Meetings are held to make it look like they care, skip levels are worthless and fall on deaf ears. People with experience are blackballed even though their intent is to create the teamwork that is absent. No respect for management. It's sad because there is so much opportunity and those at the top choose to wear blinders and won't do anything. No one wants to rock the boat so now it's sinking. SOS
