      Good pay and benefits Work life balance Take home company car Peers are good to work with, and most times the craft employees are also

      Cons

      Micromanagement Not forward thinking Technology is 10 yrs behind, maybe 15yrs on some applications Hard to get innovative ideas out to people, ideas get shot down early in the process Narrow minded in terms of operations, "been doing it this way for 30 yrs, why change now"

      Pros

      Great medical and vacation benefits.

      Cons

      No work life balance. Long hours worked translates to very low pay. They own you and they let you know it. No job security unless your protected or related. If you are, then the skies the limit.

      Pros

      Excellent pay, benefits and huge ability to grow beyond department whether it be to stay union or go to the management side. Grass is pretty green on either side. By far, the best benefits and pay I have ever recieved. Peace of mind knowing you will get raises and you work in a stable company is priceless.

      Cons

      Work / Family balance can be difficult. Long hours potential. Once full time be prepared for a lot of outside help with small children (nanny). Mandatory OT is very common.
