Pros

Decent pay. Job autonomy.

Cons

Very little guidance or training. Employees are just dropped into their jobs and expected figure it out on their own. The work processes are unbelievably inefficient. It takes twice as long to get anything done than it should. They have a monopoly and all costs are pushed to the consumer so they have no incentive to remove inefficiencies.

Heavily invested in technology and system improvements such as smart grid. Innovation a vote value. Great benefits.

Cons

Most employees are on call to provide storm recovery assistance in addition to normal work activities. On call 2 weeks every 6 weeks.
