Pros

Great pay, benefits and 401k. Ultimate job security - Once you're in, you're in for life.

Cons

1. Once you're in, you're in for life... Some people that should be fired are not and the competent employees have to pick up their slack. 2. Shady hiring practices. Promotions tend to be based on who you know, not what you know. Nepotism runs rampant at ComEd. There is a big push for diversity & inclusion, which isn't bad in and of itself. However, it appears that management focuses more on the D&I metrics than the merits of the applicants when filling a position.

Pros

Great pay and benefits. A lot of opportunities

Cons

They don’t care about family/life from home. Depending on department, you may be forced on taking a large workload.

Pros

Union Shop, Great Pay and benefits

Cons

Management employees are over worked ,under valued and your growth opportunity depends on who you know, not what you know. So much nepotism and stunting of growth it's ridiculous. HR is a joke, nothing is private or anonymous.
