Pros

great colleagues, good office location

Cons

refusal to properly compensate for doing additional work or give adequate raises. still not giving the green light for permanent remote to all employees. upper management is just a boys' club.

Pros

Cool location and that’s it.

Cons

Every single part of this job was a con. Having a masters degree makes you a “clinical guidance consultant” but you make equal or less money than those who are less qualified. It is a call volume based company so the people who are simply transferring calls are making more money than those who are de-escalating clients, safety planning, setting up aftercare, etc. Management does not care for your mental health- when you get off a difficult call, they’ll tell you that the queue is busy and to get back in the phone. When I quit, I had half of my supervision hours completed for my clinical license and they never gave me my paperwork. They never even responded about it. Absolutely atrocious place to work.

Pros

Working from home was nice. The coworkers made it a very friendly and helpful environment. They were extremely nice people and so were all the team leads. The trainers also made the job appear fun and they were good guides.

Cons

You were expected to take a certain number of calls per day and get through them as fast as possible. This is difficult when you’re trying to comfort multiple clients who are escalated. The anxiety waking up every morning and the repetition of saying the same lines over and over really made the job not worth it. When working full time, you could only take 5-10 minute breaks. Any 15 minute breaks you had to clock in and out for and make up at the end of your shift. We did get an hour of lunch which was nice but I always thought companies had to allow for 15 minute breaks. Pay was extremely low ($16 an hour for having a Bachelor’s degree) and you only get raises once a year based on your call intake performance. Nothing will make up for being yelled at by counselors and regular clients- it made the job intimidating and scary, quite honestly. ComPsych is a great company, I would just never recommend this position to anyone.
