Pros

Location, bagels, nuts and chocolates.

Cons

All negatives reviews about this company is true. The company has a very unhealthy, almost rotten working environment. There is very little communication between employees of the same department, not to mention employees of different departments. Employees might work on the same project for months and never even meet each other, even though, they just sit on different floors. For the whole time I worked for this company there was not even once a company meeting where employees would learn about the company news, future goals, express their opinions, listen to company CEO and etc. I worked for an IT department and with dissatisfaction can report that Senior IT management is extremely incompetent, to the point that one starts wondering how they even were placed in these leading roles with such limited knowledge and skills of IT. It's beyond repair really...!! All employees that were hired at the time I was hired left company already.

Pros

Location- Always lots to do around the office. Restaurants, events on the plaza, shopping Hours- Overall this is a relatively easy job. Work is never taken home and there is no expectation to work any more than your regular hours

Cons

Pay- The pay here sucks. Period. If you do accept a job here, you are starting at such a low salary that with the very small raises you get yearly it never really adds up to enough to actually live in the city you are working in No room for growth- HR has clearly been very busy writing lots of positive review lately, but do not listen to them. You will likely not advance very far within this company. Higher positions are usually filled by someone external, while those internal employees actually looking for a career are ignored and eventually forced to leave to find an actual career where they are respected and allowed to advance. Sure, you can always get more work or responsibility, but don't expect to be compensated for it. Overall employee treatment- For an EAP company, ComPsych treats its own employees like dirt. You should be treating your own employees at least half as well as you advertise that you treat your clients. Not the case here unfortunately. Free snacks and coffee are great, but they don't help pay the bills.

Pros

The hours are good, 8:30-5:00. You will make friendships with your peers bonding over how much the company sucks.

Cons

Everything is micromanaged, no opportunity for growth, they prefer to hire from the outside for leadership roles, if you do get the rare chance to change positions, they call it a lateral move with no pay raise. Due to employee dissatisfaction, there is very high turnover, so they are always understaffed. You get 3 sick days a year. There are about 150 employees on the floor and only 2 of them are allowed to take the same day off for vacation so be prepared to only get a vacation day on a random wednesday in March. If you work there for a year, you become a senior specialist which is the same pay rate, but you get to field escalated calls all day. Management has a philosophy of "If you dont like it, then quit. There are plenty of recent college grads desperate for work to take your place until they reach the same situation as you. wash rinse repeat."
