Pros

I lead a small team that answers financial questions for clients. I have great people in my unit and there are many great people in the other units I interact with. Everyone in my unit is a remote worker now so that is a big plus. While I am not a fan of diversity - what you look like or where from as a goal but I am a firm believer of diversity of ability and knowledge. My unit is, probably the most diverse group in the company person per person. This is completely by accident, we just hunted for great people and no two of us look alike. I don't make friends easily - my youngest says I am Autistic. Who knows? But I do have several people I work with now and have worked with in the past at CP that I call friends. My team members are always happy to help as needed. If I need someone to come in early or stay late there is never a problem with finding someone. I do my best to take care of my team and encourage them to 'help their buddy.' That is an old Army saying for just what it sounds like, help the people you work with. Senior management is reasonable and does what they can to support me as needed. PTO time is pretty good, I get 28 days a year. After working at CP for 10 years you are awarded a Rolex. After 20 years you get a car - I got the fanciest truck in the world when I hit 20. After 30 years you get a National Graphic trip around the world or something. I only know of one or two people who started young enough to get that. There is also enough to do to keep the job interesting. Two of my retirees are doing webinars and seminars now for our training department. I keep in contact with several of my old employees and have been happy they were able to pursue their dreams after leaving ComPsych. Some retired some moved up and on. I don't know how many people who work, or have worked for, ComPsych know Dr. Chaifetz but I do and he is an impressive guy and never seems to forget a name. I haven't seen him in a few years since I started working remotely but he always said hi unless he was in a hurry then he tended to be focused. I am the same way there.

Cons

Downsides.....not a whole lot from my seat and not much in my unit. I do wish we would go public but I don't see that any time soon. Our GuidanceUnit does have a built in and designed amount of turnover. The People there are called GCs and they must hold a MA in Psychology or Social work. Many come to CP to get their practicum so they can work directly with patients. The come to CP just long enough to get what they need then they leave. These means there are always new people on the phones. Not all at once of course though.
