Pros

the only pro working is learning about FMLA process and STD and even the training is rushed so really I take it back no pros.

Cons

Terrible pay , constant burn out on phones , unrealistic expectations of production being at 95% , CEs mess up claims daily , theres this unorganized zoom expert chat giving contradictory and incorrect info yet agents who actually are front line have to deal with the consequence , there's this one team lead who I won't name but if you ever get on their team may god be with you . idk even know how she got to be a lead every-time you ask them a question you're better off getting the correct answer from a peer which usually what happens and they play it off as if they "forget to respond " which is concerning. This job benefits are high not even good not mention you have to reside in IL to even use one of the plans . All in all this company doesn't care about its clients , or employees that's why the retention rate is so high for both . I truly hope they get a rude awakening bc they need to tighten up . Even the clients don't want to deal with them .

Pros

experience, and time learning a new industry

Cons

management couldn't care less about you or your family, pay is low, employees are disgruntled, and operations are falling apart with management allowing the blame to fall on customer service and the AM's. Employee moral is low.

RUN, don't walk, from ComPsych

Pros

• Coworkers genuinely care about clients • Teams support each other because they have no choice

Cons

ComPsych is built on low-paying roles and constant understaffing. Senior leadership only cares about sales numbers and client retention, not employees. Pay is well below market, roles rarely get approved, and when they do the wages are so low new hires don’t stay. Tech is outdated, products are patched together with manual processes, and there’s no real investment in fixing it. Feedback is ignored or punished, promotions don’t happen, and recognition is nonexistent. Benefits are terrible: expensive health insurance, no HSA contributions, a 0.25% 401k match that takes five years to vest, and only 16 PTO days. When you leave, you may not get PTO paid out, severance is minimal, and they’ll call your role elimination “voluntary” to block unemployment. Leadership doesn’t acknowledge problems and nothing ever changes. Cons • Senior leadership only cares about sales and keeping business • Severely understaffed and underpaid — roles are way below market • Zero real investment in tech; every product is just manual work in disguise • Feedback goes nowhere or is met with hostility • No promotions, no recognition, and PTO isn’t paid out in some states • Severance is bare minimum, and role eliminations are often marked “voluntary” to block unemployment • Benefits are terrible: overpriced health insurance, no HSA contributions, laughable 0.25% 401k match that takes 5 years to vest, and just 16 PTO days
