Selfish behaviors

Pros

Company says the right line. Seems to genuinely make effort to care for engineer. Easy to coast.

Cons

Lots of selfish motivations make it hard to grow career and difficult to do meaningful sw engineering work which in nature should be easy to do disruptful work due to the relative low cost of development. I have found first few levels of management is more interested in maintaining hierarchies then investing in problem solvers and rewarding innovators.
