Install techs get screwed

Pros

Good pay , good benefits , home garage company vehicle

Cons

Oh boy where to begin . Install and repair technicians get screwed and are micromanaged to the point of breakdown, your at the mercy of their ridiculous metrics that you have no control of , constantly being shoved down your throat, it got to be like be water boarding ., every day do this , make sure to do that , why is this low , make sure to tell the customer you need a high score , you might get one if they can get the bitter taste out of their mouth from their poor experience on the phone with farmed out labor to other countries, they are angry when you show up and we have to do damage control . There is so much more wrong here So stressful working there I’m no longer taking anti depressants, the money is not worth the stress know with all that being said if you can get into maintenance or metro it’s night and day difference, I guess they treat you like adults

Pros

Interesting technology, many good people

Cons

Remote work policies are all over the board. Many are now required to be in the office 4 days per week, while many others have been granted exceptions to stay remote. Very inconsistent and unfair application of policy Pay is subpar at best PTO is terrible, especially for the first five years, definitely not a "progressive" company as far as this goes. Very "woke" culture that permeates everything. Frequent DE&I meetings

Stop hurting frontline employees

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

The Benefits are pretty great. Commission can be lucrative for a short while.

Cons

Your systems are horrible and are always crashing/failing. If upper leadership was on the frontline more they would know this. There are too many metrics. Goals become raised so much that you cannot achieve them, they will force you to give your employees write ups even though they failed the team with unrealistic goaling.. And then punish critical groupthink and reward the mundane and average. The frontline team already get beat up and abused by the customer base. A lot of folks despise Xfinity due to poor prior experience. The problem with big corps like this is they have no heart when it comes to personnel management. Your contributions won’t matter or hold weight no matter how great. Senior leaders care too much about the trivial but are so disconnected from the actual pressure on the frontline it’s laughable.
