Pros

Comcast is a large, fluid organization that offers a wide array of opportunity for employees who want to get ahead, as well as some level of security and stability for people who want to get a job and keep it for a long time. The benefits are excellent, and top management seems to be doing a pretty good job of keeping Comcast competitive.

Cons

Some long-time employees at the company should move on or move out. As in many large organizations, some decisions seem random and counterproductive. In my first year at the company, I was reorganized four times under three managers. It is a long way from top management to my position.

Pros

Comcast really works hard to keep their employees employed here; they always reward when we deserve it (which is often), they ask us for feedback on a consistent basis in order to increase job morale and make the work environment better; they have their supervisors go through leadership trainings periodically; they offer opportunities of advancement all the time.

Cons

Sometimes there is not a lot of supervisory support for the customer account executives...

Pros

....... sorry..... I am just not sure what to say here. Free cable... Even that is not much of a benefit since you are labled an employee and if you are experiencing cable or internet issue you are automatically put to the bottom of the support list since you are an employee.

Cons

It is one of the biggest "old boys network" large corporations I have ever encountered. Especially among the AOL crowd that has come into Comcast the last few years. It is also very important to learn how to be nasty with a smile to survive. Engineers with years of good solid experience need not apply unless they already have internal connections such as someone from aol.
